StumbleUpon has been available on your PC for quite some time (in Internet time) and is available in a mobile edition for Android. StumbleUpon allows you to browse the net for your favorite subjects, so that you can fill your time with unique and interesting content catered to your specific interests.

Currently, StumbleUpon is available for free from the Android Market. As you can see in the screenshot above, StumbleUpon can be accessed using your Facebook login, or by creating an account through StumbleUpon itself. Given that the purpose of this application is to allow you a heightened Internet browsing experience, while sharing content from the Internet, the Facebook login allows for ease of social sharing. Just connect and you're in.

When you first enter the application you will see a simply laid out landing page which displays your login name at the top of the screen and the options for navigating through this application below. The image seen on the below left, displays a list of 500+ topics that you will be asked to choose from when you first start the application. These topics will guide the app as it randomly selects websites that you might be interested in viewing. To start the process simply press "Start Stumbling!"

The image you see to the above right, displays the setup of the UI for the Stumble application. Here are the basics when using this app: The button on the bottom right labeled SU is your Stumble button. Each time you press the SU button you will be taken to a new web page, selected from your approved topics list. If you like the page and want to save it to view later, press the thumbs up button which is located to the left of the SU button. Each time you press the thumbs up button, StumbleUpon learns a little bit more about what you like and will alter it's searches to provide you with selections that you are more likely to enjoy. To the left of the thumbs up button is the...... yep... thumbs down button. Each time you press this button, the web page will be removed from your search selections and will assist StumbleUpon in providing you with more accurate future selections.

StumbleUpon is not only a great way to find new material, games and learn interesting information. It can also serve as a fun social networking application. This app and the StumbleUpon website allow you to build a list of friends that you can share your liked selections with. Each time you press the thumbs up button, your selection will be sent to your friends and will be viewed when they enter the app and press the Stumble button. The StumbleUpon app provides additional sharing options through email and facebook.

StumbleUpon has enhanced my Internet experience and provides a great way of passing time. This is a recommended app for all to try. Enjoy and spread the word.
